REMINDER: Avoid the $200 Deferral Fee:

If your education is not posted with TREC and you try to timely renew your license and pay your renewal fee with TREC, you will be prompted to pay a $200 "deferral" fee.

How do you avoid this?

Complete your education early. (Finish all your courses 1-5 days prior to your expiration date to be safe.) Last step: pay your renewal fee with TREC after your courses are posted.

Warning: Although TREC Rules allow school providers 10 days to issue credit, we submit CE credit electronically to TREC daily. This is the fastest way to get credit issued, but be advised, on rare occasions, TREC's systems have been known to go down, sometimes for 24-48 hours. This can involve weekends. If this occurs, it may not be possible for any providers to issue your credit until TREC's systems are back up and running. This means it may not be posted in time with TREC to avoid paying the $200 deferral fee if you wait until your expiration date to complete your education. It is your responsibility to ensure you complete your education early enough to allow for timely renewal.

Suggestion: To avoid all this, complete your education early. You are advised to complete your required renewal education 1-5 days prior to your expiration date and then pay your renewal fee with TREC after your courses are posted. If you have questions concerning this, please call us for assistance.

Paying Your Renewal Fee: Don't forget to pay your renewal fee with TREC by your expiration date. If you don't pay your renewal fee, you will be placed inactive and your license will expire.

TREC required notifications:

  • The provider will not certify a student for full CE credit unless the student attends all sessions of a course. (Our 18 hour packages are a combination of individual courses. As you finish each course, the completed course will be submitted to TREC.)
  • No makeups or written work will be allowed for CE credit
  • Students may evaluate the course and instructor by downloading an evaluation form from the TREC web site and submitting the form electronically or by mail
  • The student must determine if the course is timely and appropriate for the student's CE requirement. If you're on your 1st renewal you may need 30-90 hours of SAE credit. These CE courses cannot be used for SAE credit.
  • By clicking the PURCHASE button below, student understands that the credit/debit card supplied at registration will be charged for the above course(s), and that these charge(s) are NOT refundable.
